About

MaRRius is a West London Singer / Songwriter who started on piano, converted to guitar, and collaborates with a wide range of talented musicians in the UK, US and Europe.  Constantly experimenting with different genres and production styles to help him create his sound, he has explored all types of music from Rock to Indie, Urban and Electronic.  MaRRius first found his musical inspiration as a teenager from bands that represented his generation, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and Muse (especially Matt Bellamy’s guitar skills and stage presence). Suddenly exploring music from the past he, discovered Jimi Hendrix and he dives into an era of timeless songs. And so he starts to dig deeper into the blues, 60s and 70s rock, classic soul and listens obsessively to Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding . The youngster then perfects his education with music that is all around him with the likes of Lauryn Hill, Kanye West, James Blake and H.E.R.

MaRRius’ debut self-titled EP was recorded at RAK Studios in London and released in 2018.  To promote the EP he performed live at Scala supporting Alt-J, The Waiting Room and at The Notting Hill Arts Club in London,  at Le Truskel in Paris, in Rennes at the iconic Transmusicales festival and in Porto for the Nelson Mandela festival last summer before going back in the studio to work on his next EP to be released in 2019.
